Role Mission

Build the talent engine that takes MAS Global to its next chapter.

This is a builder role. The Head of People owns Talent Acquisition and the emerging People function across the US and Latin America, leading a team across TA and HR, most of them based in Colombia.

Your first mandate is the recruiting machine: lead the recruiting team, sharpen how roles are defined with Delivery and Sales, and make hiring predictable. From there, you will shape the broader People function: talent management, retention, employee value proposition, People Operations and the tools that automate them.

What You’ll Do

1. Build the Talent Acquisition machine

• Own hiring strategy across all functions: quality, speed and candidate experience.
• Build differentiated search strategies by function, role and client.
• Lead and develop recruiters and sourcers across the US, Colombia and Argentina, raising both capability and strategic judgment.
• Increase recruiter productivity through clear priorities, balanced requisition loads and better tools, including AI.
• Implement structured interview processes and hiring frameworks that accelerate client placements.
• Shape employer brand and recruiting operations.
• Define simple, reliable KPIs that surface process gaps and opportunities to improve.
• Partner with Delivery and Sales so every role is understood and calibrated with the client before sourcing begins.
• Calibrate with hiring managers at all levels on realistic requirements and the trade-offs needed to hire successfully.

2. Lead People strategy

• Own the People strategy and roadmap, aligned with company growth: TA, talent management, employee relations, benefits, HR operations and compliance.
• Guide executives and managers on best practices for a growing professional services firm, adapted to our size and stage.
• Partner with leadership on organizational design.

3. Drive talent management and retention

• Design practical programs for performance, feedback, career growth and development.
• Strengthen manager capability so leaders own their talent outcomes.
• Diagnose what drives engagement and turnover, and act on it.

4. Shape People Operations

• Define the operating model: what to build in-house and what to source from partners (PEO, EOR, payroll, benefits).
• Recommend and implement tools that automate people processes and create one reliable source of people data.
• Ensure compliant, consistent practices across the US and Latin America.

5. Build and lead the People team

• Lead a distributed team across TA, HR Operations and HR Business Partners.
• Clarify roles, priorities and decision rights so the team spends more time on strategy and less on reaction.
• Develop the team so the function scales beyond any one person.

• Founder-led company. MAS Global was built by its founders, and their hands-on involvement is a big part of our success. As we grow, part of this role is building the structures that let more decisions sit closer to the work.
• High urgency. Client needs move fast, and so do we. Priorities can shift within a week.
• Building while running. Many processes are new or still forming. You will often fix today’s issue and design tomorrow’s system in the same week.

What Makes You a Great Fit

Must-haves

• 8–10+ years in People leadership, including deep, hands-on recruiting experience.
• A track record of building or rebuilding a recruiting function that delivered predictable results, ideally in technical or professional services hiring.
• Experience leading and developing recruiting and HR teams, including remote and cross-border teams.
• Experience scaling a company through growth, ideally from roughly 150 to 300+ people.
• Proven ability to partner with executives and client-facing leaders on talent and organizational decisions.
• Comfort using data to diagnose problems and communicate them simply.
• Hands-on experience with HR technology and AI-enabled recruiting or people workflows.

Strong plus

• Professional fluency in English and Spanish.
• Familiarity with US and Latin American labor law and employment models, especially Colombia.
• Experience in nearshore, IT services or staffing firms.
• Experience with PEOs, EORs and multi-country payroll.
