Tractor/Lift Operator (Yard Dog – CDL Class A)
Location: Madera, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00AM–3:30PM
Pay: $20.00–$25.00/hr DOE
We are currently hiring an experienced Tractor/Lift Operator (Yard Dog) for a fast-paced Shipping & Receiving operation in Madera, CA.
This position is responsible for moving trailers within the yard and between nearby facilities while also supporting warehouse operations using forklifts and material handling equipment.
Responsibilities
- Move and reposition trailers safely within the yard
- Perform trailer transfers between nearby facilities
- Load and unload trailers using forklifts
- Operate sit-down forklift, stand-up forklift, and pallet jacks
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain trailer movement logs and shipping documentation
- Support shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations
- Follow all DOT/FMCSA and company safety procedures
Requirements
- Valid California Class A CDL
- Forklift experience required
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Minimum 1 year of warehouse or shipping/receiving experience
- Must be able to pass DOT drug screening and medical requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be comfortable working in warehouse and outdoor environments
