Role Description The Marine Electrical Lead is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Seattle, WA, responsible for overseeing marine electrical projects from planning through completion. This role includes leading installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems on vessels, including power distribution, control systems, and automation equipment. The Marine Electrical Lead coordinates daily work for technicians, ensures compliance with marine industry standards and safety regulations, and verifies quality of all electrical work. Responsibilities also include reading and interpreting technical drawings, collaborating with project managers and customers, documenting work performed, and supporting commissioning and sea trials. The role involves mentoring team members, contributing to continuous improvement in processes, and helping drive innovative solutions for challenging marine electrical needs. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in marine operations and maritime environments, with familiarity working on boats and vessels. Prior exposure to Navy or defense‑related marine projects, or equivalent experience in commercial maritime sectors. Ability to provide training and guidance to electrical technicians, promoting safe work practices and skill development. Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems, including power distribution, motor controls, PLCs, and automation. Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Solid understanding of relevant codes and standards (e.g., ABS, USCG, IEC, IEEE, NFPA) and marine safety requirements. Experience leading project teams, coordinating schedules, and maintaining quality and budget targets. Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal teams, shipyards, and customers. Ability to work on‑site in shipyard and onboard environments, including standing, climbing, and working in confined spaces as needed.
