Join a fast-growing manufacturing facility as a Welder, focusing primarily on MIG welding steel building materials. You will use your welding and fabrication skills to produce high-quality steel components while reading and working from blueprints in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on steel building materials with consistent quality and adherence to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints to understand project requirements, measurements, and welding details.
• Use TIG, stick, and flux welding techniques when needed to support fabrication and production tasks.
• Carry out steel fabrication work, including layout, fitting, and preparation of materials for welding.
• Apply spray arc welding methods as appropriate for specific materials and projects.
• Inspect welds and finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and structural requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety procedures and facility guidelines.
• Use and care for a personal welding hood and other required protective equipment.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and project deadlines.
• Support occasional Saturday work as needed to fulfill production schedules and customer demands.

• Proven experience with MIG welding on steel materials in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints related to steel structures and building materials.
• Hands-on experience in steel fabrication, including material preparation and fit-up.
• Familiarity with spray arc welding techniques and their application to steel fabrication.
• Capability to work full-time hours with occasional overtime, including some Saturdays.
• Ownership of a welding hood and readiness to use appropriate protective equipment on the job.

• Experience with TIG welding is a strong plus.
• Experience with stick welding is a strong plus.
• Experience with flux-core welding is a strong plus.
• Previous work in a manufacturing facility or similar industrial environment is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production-focused setting.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing facility with a full-time schedule. The standard shift runs Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a 1-hour lunch, and continues from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional Saturday shifts from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. may be required, with an average workload of about 54 hours per week. You will work in an industrial environment around steel fabrication equipment and welding tools, and you are expected to wear and maintain a welding hood and appropriate protective gear in accordance with safety practices.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chickasha, OK.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $28.00/hr.
