Location: Candidates must reside in the Chicago, IL or Richardson, TX area. Work Arrangement: Remote (Candidates must have their own computer equipment to perform the responsibilities of this role). Duration: 3-months. Pay rate: $56/hr on W2.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong analytical, data management, and reporting experience to support business initiatives through data analysis, quality reporting, and process improvement. The ideal candidate is highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision, and experienced in translating complex data into meaningful business insights. This role requires strong SQL expertise, healthcare data knowledge, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex business and data requirements to support operational and strategic initiatives.
• Write, execute, and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, validate, analyze, and reconcile data from multiple sources.
• Perform data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance activities to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and analytical deliverables using SQL and reporting tools.
• Analyze healthcare-related datasets and support reporting initiatives involving quality measures and regulatory requirements.
• Work with structured and unstructured data using ETL processes, reporting tools, and data mining techniques.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
• Communicate technical findings and business insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support provider and vendor partnerships by delivering accurate reporting and data analysis.
• Troubleshoot data issues independently and recommend process improvements.
• Prioritize multiple assignments while meeting project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Participate in meetings, document business requirements, and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience writing complex SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and analysis.
• Experience creating and executing SQL queries using Oracle, SAS, Teradata, or similar database/reporting platforms.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Access, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Visio.
• Experience performing data analysis, data cleansing, ETL processes, reporting, and data mining.
• Understanding of NCQA HEDIS quality measures and code value sets.
• Familiarity with healthcare data sources, including: Health Insurance Exchange (HIX), Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present information to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal skills with experience collaborating across business and technical teams.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting healthcare payer or managed care organizations.
• Experience working with provider or vendor data integrations and reporting.
• Knowledge of healthcare quality reporting and regulatory compliance initiatives.
