About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in acute care, med/surg required. License: Compact license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS required. Must-Have: - Experience in cardiac telemetry. - Skills in management of ventilated patients and cardiac drips. Description: This position requires a registered nurse to provide care in a telemetry setting. The nurse will float between units as needed. Every other weekend will be required for this role. The expected patient ratio is 1:4. The nurse will administer medications and perform assessments. Strong communication skills and the ability to interpret vital signs are essential. The nursing staff will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care. Knowledge of Epic charting system is required. The nurse will be responsible for managing patients with a variety of diagnoses including COPD, sepsis, and pneumonia. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in interpretation of dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases. The position involves high patient interaction and requires a compassionate approach to care.
