Job Description

The Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPC) specializes in the care of patients undergoing cardiovascular and vascular surgeries, including open heart surgeries. The unit also manages overflow patients with a range of cardiology conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients post-cardiac and vascular surgery.
• Monitor patient progress and manage complex medical needs.
• Administer IV medications and manage cardiac drips.
• Utilize telemetry to monitor patients' cardiac rhythms.
• Perform chest tube management, epidural management, and tube feedings.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have Stepdown and Telemetry experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Preferred: Experience with CV and vascular surgery patient populations.
