Security Guard page is loaded## Security Guardlocations: Redmond, ORtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: JR100498**Job Description:**Essential Responsibilities/Activities:* Patrols premises, both on foot and using security vehicles, to deter and detect any unauthorized activity.* Uses various surveillance tools, such as cameras and monitoring systems, to keep an eye on activities within the facility.* Identifies suspicious behavior, potential threats, and violations of security protocols and recommends improvements to enhance security measures.* Checks identification, searches bags, and ensures that only authorized personnel enter restricted areas to prevent potential security threats.* Responds to emergencies such as fires, medical incidents, and security breaches and coordinates with other agencies during critical situations.* Uses de-escalation techniques to defuse tense situations and maintain a safe environment.* Documents incidents, suspicious activities, and other relevant information in detailed reports.* Responds to alarms triggered by security systems and investigates the cause of the alarm and takes appropriate actions.* Provides customer service by assisting visitors, giving directions, and providing information about the facility's rules and regulations.* Maintains and ensures the proper functioning of security equipment, such as cameras, alarms, and access control systems.* Escorts individuals off premises when necessary.Education and Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent is required. 2+ years of previous experience preferred.Essential Mental Functions:· Communicates effectively in written and spoken form.· Possesses excellent interpersonal relationship skills.· Exhibits good decision making and analytical problem solving abilities.· Demonstrates strong multi-tasking capabilities and organizational skills.· Works effectively in a team environment.· Works effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.Essential Physical Functions:· Lift up to 50lbs.· Sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours.· Periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.Disclaimer:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
