IT System Administrator

About the Role We are seeking a dedicated IT System Administrator (m/w/d) with a focus on Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our EDI processes, ensuring seamless communication with our partners and service providers. Additionally, you will handle the setup, configuration, and maintenance of EDI interfaces and mappings, including EDIFACT and XML standards. You will also play a vital role in managing our IT infrastructure, providing technical support to employees, and contributing to various IT projects. Qualifications Completed vocational training as an IT specialist for system integration or a comparable qualification. Strong knowledge of EDI processes or a willingness to develop expertise in this area. Initial experience in network technology, including TCP/IP, routing, switches, firewalls, and network setup and operation. Experience working with ERP systems, ideally with Microsoft Navision / Business Central. Self‑reliant, proactive, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities Manage and optimize EDI processes, ensuring efficient data exchange with partners and service providers. Configure, set up, and maintain EDI interfaces and mappings, including EDIFACT and XML standards. Establish and maintain effective communication channels with external partners and vendors. Set up and maintain end‑user devices, ensuring their optimal operation and security. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to employees across departments. Participate in planning and executing IT projects to improve infrastructure and operational workflows. Expand and maintain the company's network infrastructure, ensuring stability and security.
