Job Summary
We are seeking a Health Educator to join our team! As a Health Educator, you will be working closely with students and the community to educate them on pressing and vital health needs. You will be creating lesson plans, activities, and community events to best promote the message of health and safety, as well as counsel individuals and offer advice and appropriate references. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, experience teaching, and a grasp of the health issues facing the community today.

Responsibilities 

• Create engaging lesson plans, activities, and events to help individuals and families within the community maintain a healthy, active lifestyle
• Use data from a variety of sources to best inform your lesson plans and policies
• Prepare appropriate documents and educational materials to distribute to your classroom and the community as a whole
• Counsel students and community members on pressing issues
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal guidelines in regards to health education for 80 hours a class

Qualifications

• State teaching certification that can train for classes for certified CNA or STNA 
• Strong understanding of health-related issues that the community is facing
• Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, Adobe, and social media
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
