Mechanical Senior Project Manager

Summary of Position The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing fast‑paced retrofit projects within the Special Projects Division of an HVAC company. This role manages projects from initiation through completion, ensuring all objectives are met in accordance with company standards and client requirements. The Senior Project Manager reports directly to the Division Manager and is accountable for project planning, execution, and closeout. Responsibilities Oversee multiple HVAC system installations, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management. Communicate with customers to coordinate building access and project activities. Manage contract documents and written scopes of work to ensure customer satisfaction. Coordinate with purchasing and vendors to track equipment orders and deliveries. Collaborate with the Field Superintendent to manage subcontractor and field labor activities. Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations. Maintain organized workflows and documentation processes, including written and verbal communications. Conduct project closeout activities, including documentation and client handover. Perform site visits as required. Serve as a liaison between the company, customers, and vendors. Address questions, concerns, and complaints throughout the project lifecycle. Perform other duties as assigned by the Division Manager. Qualifications and Education Minimum of 10 years’ experience managing HVAC projects, or Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management. Experience managing small and large retrofit projects in commercial, institutional, and healthcare settings. Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate subcontractors. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. Skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical diagrams, construction drawings, and blueprints. Knowledge of contract documents and project scopes of work. Strong organizational skills in workflow and documentation. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project tracking software (e.g., Microsoft Project). Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Strong time management, problem‑solving, and analytical skills. Detail‑oriented with a focus on accuracy. Compensation Base salary: $150,000 – $200,000, plus biannual bonus (based on company performance). Company‑provided vehicle.
