Role Overview This position performs computerized tomographic (CT) radiographs following established procedures, reviews exams for clinical appropriateness, and prioritizes imaging requests. It involves effective communication of critical situations, maintaining credentials, and supporting new employee orientation. Key Responsibilities Utilizes clinical reasoning, critical thinking, and evidence-based guidelines to manage CT imaging. Communicates effectively with patients, addressing concerns and providing education prior to procedures. Creates a compassionate environment, promotes patient comfort, and recognizes patient needs. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to optimize exam flow and resource utilization. Assesses safety, performs safety checks, and ensures proper patient identification and exam validation. Supports quality improvement initiatives, maintains competency, and stays current on protocols. Fosters a respectful, learning-focused environment, onboarding new staff, and contributing to professional growth. Qualifications & Skills ARRT certification required. NM Computed Tomography License (or provisional license) required. Current BLS certification required. Strong clinical reasoning, communication, patient care, and safety skills.
