We need someone who is genuinely smart about pricing - tiered models, discount governance, margin controls, contract pricing, and quotation workflows - and who can translate that pricing expertise directly into functional specifications, user stories, and platform configurations. You are the person who runs the pricing workshop in the morning, identifies the revenue leakage at lunch, and writes the user stories in the afternoon. You bridge pricing strategy and systems delivery - and you do both exceptionally well. Must-Have Skills 8 + years of combined pricing and business analysis experience Deep pricing domain expertise - tiered pricing, volume-based pricing, contract pricing, promotional pricing, margin floor controls, and discount governance Salesforce CPQ knowledge - product catalog, price books, pricing rules, discount schedules, quote templates, and approval workflows Strong BA skills - requirements elicitation, gap analysis, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria Strong analytical skills - pricing data analysis, margin analysis, discount trend analysis, and revenue leakage identification Ability to facilitate pricing decisions - working directly with sales, finance, revenue operations, and C-suite to align on pricing strategy and business rules Experience translating pricing business rules into Salesforce CPQ functional specs - configuration requirements, pricing rule designs, and approval workflow specs Jira - user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog management Advanced Excel / SQL - pricing data modeling, discount analysis, and margin reporting Strong written and oral communication - business rules documentation, functional specs, and executive recommendations What You'll Do Analyze current pricing models, discount structures, and quotation workflows - identifying revenue leakage, margin erosion, and process inefficiencies Facilitate pricing workshops - driving alignment between sales, finance, and revenue operations on pricing strategy, discount policy, and approval governance Define and document pricing business rules - tiered pricing logic, discount eligibility, margin floor controls, contract pricing overrides, and promotional pricing governance Translate pricing strategy into Salesforce CPQ functional specifications - product catalog design, price book structures, pricing rules, discount schedules, and approval workflows Conduct gap analysis - assessing current-state pricing and CPQ configurations against business requirements and identifying remediation recommendations Own and manage the pricing BA backlog in Jira - epics, user stories, and sprint-ready acceptance criteria Support UAT - coordinating with pricing stakeholders and Salesforce CPQ developers to validate delivered solutions Build pricing dashboards and reports - margin performance, discount trends, quote conversion, and pricing governance metrics Advise on pricing best practices - what correct pricing governance looks like and how the business should be doing it vs. how it is doing it today Leverage Claude and AI tools to accelerate pricing analysis, scenario modeling, requirements documentation, and user story generation Nice to Have Experience with Salesforce Revenue Cloud or Salesforce Billing Experience with pricing intelligence tools - Vendavo, Zilliant, or PROS Familiarity with ERP pricing integrations - NetSuite, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics Background in manufacturing, SaaS, distribution, or field services pricing environments Experience with AI-powered pricing analytics and intelligent discount optimization tools The Right Candidate Says Things Like
