Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years in Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and Normal Newborn care License: Active compact license required Certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Ability to float as needed - Experience with special procedures including Vaginal and Cesarean Delivery - Knowledge of blood and blood products administration - Proficiency in starting adult IVs and managing epidural pumps and PCA pumps - Experience with high-risk antepartum and labor scenarios - Familiarity with maintaining central lines (CVC/PICC) and administering magnesium sulfate Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse specialized in Labor and Delivery. The nurse will be responsible for providing care in Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and Normal Newborn settings. The nurse will float between units as needed. Patient diagnoses will include Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and Normal Newborn care. Candidates must have prior experience with vaginal and cesarean deliveries. Experience in circulating in the OR is required. Administration of blood and blood products is a key responsibility. The nurse will need to perform sterile vaginal exams and triage obstetrical patients. Candidates must have the ability to manage pain assessment and maintain IVs. Knowledge of the Epic charting system is preferred. Documentation skills and effective communication are essential for this role. References covering relevant experience are required during the compliance process. This position is designed for those who can meet the outlined skills and experience without any discrimination.
