DIETITIAN-Comfort Care Nursing Center

Registered Dietitian

Oversees the nutritional wellbeing of all residents. Assists with planning, organizing, and directing administrative and operational activities for the Food and Nutritional Services department.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential and current licensure in the state of Mississippi
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare-related setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of clinical nutrition, regulatory standards, and sanitation guidelines

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide dietary services in accordance with facility guidelines and state and federal regulations
• Collaborate with facility leadership to develop policies, procedures, and nutrition services training plans
• Complete and document nutrition assessments in a timely manner
• Develop and update resident nutritional plans
• Recommend nutrition approaches based on resident health and preferences
• Implement personalized, age-specific, and culturally appropriate nutrition strategies
• Ensure menus meet nutritional guidelines and cultural and seasonal needs
• Provide education, training, and competency evaluations
• Assist with survey preparation and regulatory compliance activities
• Participate in quality improvement projects
• Evaluate departmental workflows and compliance with sanitation, safety, and infection control requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:
