Junior Engineer

Junior Engineer – Energy Services, Houston, TX EXP is an employee‑owned engineering, architecture, design and consulting firm that seeks to innovate and deliver sustainable results. We are looking for a Junior Engineer to join our Engineering Project Management team in the Energy Services sector. Responsibilities Support client or stakeholder project requirements in a project environment. Respond to requests in a timely manner. Become active within the project team and gain an understanding of project requirements and team member roles. Develop and maintain a professional rapport with client and project team members. Review engineering documents such as maps and drawings. Help prepare written plans, reports, or procedures to address specific project needs. Develop sound solutions to problems or issues that arise during project execution. Problem‑solve and complete tasks with minimal oversight. Travel as needed to gain field experience. Skills to Develop Read and interpret regulatory codes and industry standards (PHMSA, FERC, ASME, ANSI, etc.). Use computer applications and functions, including CAD and GIS. Review project work, quantities, costs, specifications and constructability. Meet project deadlines. Perform assigned responsibilities with minimal to moderate supervision. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing, including advanced technical writing. Maintain and establish effective working relationships. Prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously. Compile, review and reconcile data for accuracy, completeness and compliance. Perform work accurately in a detail‑oriented environment. Prepare clear and concise reports, procedures, correspondences and other written materials. Work well in a team environment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil or Mechanical preferred). EIT preferred. Good analytical and computer skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Strong writing skills. Ability to travel as needed.
