Full-time Job in Cherry Hills Village – Ideal for Educated, Energetic Nanny/Teacher Open Position Highlights A quick look at this new ABC job… Located at: Hampden and Colorado Bvld Schedule & Guaranteed Hours: Tuesday through Friday, with 35 guaranteed hours per week and Mondays off. The schedule will typically be provided three to four weeks in advance. Flexibility to work approximately two Friday evenings or Saturdays per month is also required. Live-In / Live-Out: Live-out Commitment/Contract Length: This is a long-term position for a career nanny and household professional who is prepared to make a multi-year commitment. Children's Ages: Care will primarily be for the family's youngest: 18-month-old twin boys, and their 4 year old, as-needed. The family's older children are 15, 13, 10, and 7 years old. The primary childcare focus will be the family’s active, curious and affectionate 18-month-old twin boys, who need an engaged caregiver with the patience and energy to keep two busy toddlers learning, playing and moving throughout the day. The nanny will also assist with the 4-year-old, who attends full-day preschool three days per week. The four older children attend school full-time, are largely self-sufficient and require little direct supervision. They may need occasional help with transportation, meals and activity logistics, particularly during afternoons, school breaks and summer. All of the children enjoy active schedules that include sports, ballet, time at the country club and activities outside the home. About the Family: This returning ABC family is looking for a trusted, long-term teammate who can help an active household stay organized and run smoothly. Although there are seven children, Mom is home and actively involved, allowing the employee to dedicate meaningful time to Family Assistant and household management responsibilities. Mom and the employee will work collaboratively, shifting between childcare and household support based on the needs of the day. Dad is an involved parent who works full‑time outside the home. The family values initiative, honesty, reliability and direct communication. They want someone who can recognize what needs attention, take ownership of responsibilities and follow through without continual direction. About the Pets: The family has two dogs and two cats. Candidates must be comfortable working in a home with multiple pets. Additional Notes: The family has a history of successful, long-term nanny relationships, including one nanny who remained for five years. They especially appreciated her teaching background, creativity and ability to bring thoughtful ideas and activities into the children’s lives. The family prefers candidates who have no large visible tattoos, including sleeves or prominent leg tattoos, or nontraditional visible piercings. Small tattoos and standard piercings are acceptable. Key Responsibilities A day in the life... Standard Duties: All standard Nanny/Family Assistant duties, including children’s meal preparation, children’s laundry, school and activity transportation, grocery shopping, household errands, restocking supplies, keeping common areas straightened, and maintaining the children’s bedrooms, play areas and belongings. Organize and maintain the pantry, closets, toys and other family spaces, while completing projects that help the household stay orderly and operate more efficiently. Cordinate household appointments, vendors and deliveries, and assist with preparing for family travel, unpacking and reorganizing after the family returns. Support the children’s schedules through school drop‑offs and pickups, transportation to activities and occasional assistance with the older children’s meals and logistics when they are home. Complete standard Family Assistant duties, including children’s laundry, grocery shopping, household errands, restocking supplies, wiping down counters and keeping common areas orderly. Manage household organization and logistics by maintaining closets, the pantry, toys and children’s spaces, packing/unpacking support etc. Travel Requirements: The candidate must be available to accompany the family on approximately one to two domestic trips per year. Travel will be planned with advance notice, and the family will cover all work‑related travel expenses. International travel is not currently expected. Desired Skills and Abilities The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications… A minimum of 3-5+ years of professional nanny experience is required, including significant experience caring for toddlers. Previous professional experience caring for multiple children at once is required. Family Assistant or household management experience is strongly preferred, and twin experience is a significant plus. A four‑year college degree is strongly preferred. Degrees related to education, child development, psychology, family studies or a similar field are especially valued.
