QA Inspector

We are searching for a motivated & experienced QA Inspector Inspects processes and products manufactured or processed to ensure compliance with Food Safety Programs, GMP's and company specifications by performing the following duties: ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES: Follows all safety regulations established by the company, company policies and GMP'S. Complies with all applicable standards such as FDA, relevant CFRs, GFSI / SQF, and other applicable customer requirements. Adheres to HACCP, Allergen Control Program, GMPs, product specifications, and other QA plans and required process control procedures to insure processes, work in progress, raw materials and finished goods meet the specified quality and standards. Helps drive quality improvements. Adheres to company policies and assures customer needs are met. Conducts tests and inspects production at all Wenner Bread production and storage facilities as assigned by QA Director and / or QA Manager. Conducts checks for the finished products, including finished product evaluation. Verifies production codes and labels, performs routine checks on the production line. Verifies monitoring of CCPs according to the HACCP plan. Serves as a backup for monitoring the CCPs. Reviews and verifies SOPs on the production lines. Utilizes QA SOPs to monitor and verify food safety and QC line checks. Collects, Records and Manages QC and food safety documentation in appropriate form. Assists in the investigation of quality problems and/or food safety issues and recommends solutions for the prevention of re-occurrences. Places product out of specification on ISOLATION and informs QA Manager and relevant managers. Ensures that only product that fully meets the product specifications is packaged. Submits samples of product for testing as indicated by department procedures. Conducts random inspections of stock items to ensure conformance to specifications and as needed. Completes audit reports of the production runs during his/her shift. Attends company scheduled meetings when applicable (i.e., safety meetings, quality meetings, production meetings, department meetings). Informs supervision of any problems or complications that may arise Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also responsible for: Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures. Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments. Must follow all Company Safety policies, as well as all GMP regulations and all lock-out/tag-out requirements according to OSHA requirements. You must also be aware of issues associated with food safety and safe food handling practices that are relevant to your job. Food Safety Training conducted by a qualified staff member is mandatory. You must know how to recognize, prevent and alleviate food safety hazards. This position requires good working knowledge of the SQF code QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree, plus 3-4 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
