JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

Department: Peds Surgery

Shift Timings : 18:30-07:00 Hours- Monday to Friday (5 Days/8 Hours)

Per Week: 40 Hour's

Roles & Responsibilities

• Preparing sterile operating rooms for surgeries.
• Sterilizing equipment and instruments.
• Stocking adequate supplies for surgery.
• Preparing patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites.
• Providing support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies.
• Tracking surgical supplies.
• Staying up-to-date on surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures.
• Working well with surgeons, surgical assistant, nurses and general surgical team.
• Helping provide great patient care.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BLS and ACLS
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• The ability to stand for extended periods.
• Strong technical skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Passionate about patient care
• Requires a minimum of two years of current Surgical Tech Pediatric surgery experience.
• Graduate from a fully accredited Surgical Tech program
• Active unencumbered Certified Surgical Tech Texas state license
• One year of Cerner experience

Requirements
• COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
