The technician will work closely with clients to assess their needs, provide expert recommendations, and deliver high-quality service that meets industry standards and regulatory requirements. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited HVAC training program or apprenticeship. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams. Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications such as NATE (North American Technician Excellence) or HVAC Excellence. Experience with computerized diagnostic tools and building automation systems. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or emergency call‑outs. Responsibilities: Install, inspect, and maintain HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation units. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using specialized tools and equipment, and perform necessary repairs or replacements. Conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with customers to explain system issues, recommend solutions, and provide cost estimates for repairs or installations. Maintain accurate service records, order parts, and manage inventory to support efficient workflow. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while working on-site or in the workshop. Stay updated on the latest HVAC technologies, codes, and best practices through ongoing training and certification. Skills: The HVAC Technician utilizes technical skills daily to troubleshoot and repair complex heating and cooling systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. Mechanical aptitude and electrical knowledge are essential for interpreting system schematics and performing precise repairs. Communication skills are employed when interacting with clients to explain technical issues and recommend solutions clearly and professionally.
