Job Description
Job Title: X-Ray Technologist
Profession: Radiologic Technologist

License: Required
Certifications: ARRT, BLS (AHA)
Must-Have: At least 2 years of experience

Description:
General certification requirements include BLS.
ARRT certification is required.
Department has 2 scanners/rooms.
Floating to other areas may be required.
Common types of imaging/studies performed include brain, MRCP, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities.
Average number of scans/studies per day is approximately 100.
EMR used is Radnet & Merge Unity.
Department specific equipment includes GE & Toshiba.
Lead technologist will supervise the department.
Registered Radiology Assistants are not utilized.
Radiologists are available in-house.
Starting IVs is not a responsibility of this position.
Weekend requirements are every other weekend.
Holiday requirements include one major and one minor.
Call or standby requirements involve a response time of 30 minutes on a rotating basis.
Scrub color is teal.
Scrubs are provided.
Department orientation will be conducted by the lead and will last at least a week.
Cancellation policy allows for cancellation of up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
Charting system used is Cerner.
BSN is not required.
Trauma level is unspecified.
Care setting is acute.
Division is allied health.
Days are scheduled every other weekend, with first to float responsibility.
