Chiropractic Assistant

Lake Superior Community Health Center (LSCHC) is seeking a chiropractic assistant for Duluth, MN. The chiropractic assistant works within the clinical care team to assure quality patient care and to support the goals of LSCHC. The chiropractic assistant will perform delegated clinical and clerical duties within the supervising chiropractor’s scope of practice. The chiropractor will train and oversee the chiropractic assistant in supporting chiropractic services and providing therapies within their scope. The chiropractic assistant will perform physiotherapy modalities, obtain vital signs, prepare patient for x-rays, range of motion, and instruct exercise plans. Experience is preferred.

• Pay range: $16-$19.36

Job Qualifications :

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Able to provide health care in a sensitive, nonjudgmental manner to persons of all economic levels and cultural backgrounds
• Computer experience
• Familiarity with general office equipment

Responsibilities :

• Serve as a positive, enthusiastic, professional, and proactive member of the team
• Assist with pre-visit planning for patients including obtaining pertinent outside records such as routine x-rays, preventive services, and supporting documentation from other providers
• Ensure all consents and needed equipment are readily available for procedures
• Ensure needed documentation is present as requested by the chiropractor
• Provide care to patients and assist chiropractor with clinical procedures consistent with protocols
• Ensure efficiency of patient flow and time management
• Open exam & treatment rooms at the start and end of each day
• Prepare patients for appointment:
  • Assist patient to an exam room
  • Capture chief complaint
  • Obtain and document any pre-procedure information as needed

• Keep current certification in CPR (as deemed by State of Minnesota)
• Backfill front desk duties
