Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group psychoeducational assessments and evaluations for students with diverse learning needs, including learning disabilities, autism spectrum-related needs, emotional or behavioral challenges, and more.
• Recommend appropriate special education services, interventions, accommodations, and related supports based on comprehensive student evaluations.
• Prepare for and actively participate in IEP meetings, facilitating collaboration between families and school staff to ensure student needs are addressed.
• Provide guidance to teachers on instructional strategies, behavioral interventions, and IEP implementation, fostering open and effective communication with parents.
• Coordinate the IEP process for new student referrals, guide transition activities, and support successful classroom integration.
• Liaise with families, medical professionals, and community agencies regarding referrals and follow-ups.
• Maintain accurate and current assessment, evaluation, and special education documentation as required.
• Step in as an administrative designee when needed, ensuring continuity of support and leadership.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required; specialist-level graduate degree (Ed.S.) or Master’s degree in School Psychology (minimum 60 graduate units).
• Valid California Department of Education credential for School Psychology services.
• Certified copies of academic transcripts.
• Experience with school-based psychological services and special education assessments preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Collaborative and solutions-focused approach to working in multidisciplinary teams.
