Key Responsibilities: Patient Care Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of patients' medical histories, treatments, and progress. Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately monitor and document vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, heart rate, and respiratory rate. Comprehensive Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments to monitor patient progress, identify potential complications, and update care plans accordingly. Care Planning: Develop, implement, and update patient care plans based on evolving needs and treatment goals. Clinical Support: Administer prescribed medications, injections, treatments, wound care, and other medical procedures with precision. Emotional Support: Provide emotional support to patients and families, fostering a comforting and supportive environment. Family Communication: Collaborate with patients' families to provide updates and clear communication about care needs and treatment plans. Required Skills and Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN): Must hold an active and valid RN license in the state of Virginia. Clinical Experience: Proven experience in home care, skilled nursing, or a similar healthcare setting is highly preferred. Healthcare Standards Knowledge: In-depth understanding of healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and patient care best practices. Confidentiality Compliance: Strong ability to manage confidential patient information in accordance with HIPAA and other legal requirements. Clinical Proficiency: Excellent clinical judgment, assessment skills, and the ability to perform medical procedures safely and effectively. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
