Why is this Respiratory Clinician role different This role offers high autonomy with 80% field work across NYC, flexible scheduling, and strong support for hands‑on patient care and education. Ideal for someone who enjoys independence, fast‑paced environments, and meaningful patient interaction. Key highlights Work Arrangement: On‑site; 20% office, 80% road. Hours: 10 AM – 6:30 PM; flexible. Driving Distance: Covers roughly 80% of NYC. Salary range $47 – $57 per hour. Compensation offered may vary based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, education and location. On-Call transparency Once‑a‑month rotation; minimal in‑person visits but paid overtime if required. What you’ll do Conduct home visits to perform oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilation equipment setups and follow‑ups Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance Assess patient needs, document care delivered, and escalate concerns appropriately Respond to hospital discharge requests and support patient needs Collaborating with physicians, case managers, and internal branch teams Maintain accurate documentation using iPad/laptop Set up and operate various types of respiratory care equipment, including, but not limited to, oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, PAP, invasive and non-invasive ventilation Inspects and tests equipment to ensure proper operating condition Perform clinical assessments and tests such as pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry and gathering vital signs Performs other duties as required What we look for Registered Respiratory Therapist with an active NY RT license or LPN with Respiratory experience. Ability to stand, lift, push and/or pull objects ranging from 10 – 50 lbs. Valid driver's license Comfortable using mobile technology, navigation tools, and digital documentation Education Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program or LPN with Respiratory experience.
