This entry-level Supply Chain Associate Intern role offers a hands-on introduction to inventory management, purchasing, logistics coordination, data analysis, and broader supply chain operations. You will support a collaborative Supply Chain and Operations team while developing practical skills in supply chain management, operations, procurement, and logistics. Responsibilities

• Assist with inventory tracking and monitor stock levels to support accurate replenishment and availability.

• Support the creation, maintenance, and follow-up of purchase orders to ensure timely and accurate procurement activities.

• Help coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with suppliers and carriers to meet delivery schedules and service expectations.

• Maintain accurate supply chain records, files, and databases to ensure data integrity and traceability.

• Analyze inventory and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process and cost improvements.

• Assist in resolving supply shortages, inventory discrepancies, and delivery issues by coordinating with internal teams and external partners.

• Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for supply chain projects and operational reviews.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Procurement, Logistics, and Finance to support end-to-end supply chain activities.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing overall supply chain performance.

• Perform general administrative and operational duties as assigned to support the Supply Chain and Operations team.

• Contribute to inventory and warehouse operations by helping with documentation, tracking, and process adherence.

• Participate in procurement and supplier management activities by assisting with data collection, follow-ups, and basic analysis.

• Support logistics and transportation planning through schedule coordination and status tracking.

• Assist with demand planning and forecasting tasks by gathering and organizing relevant data.

• Help with supply chain analytics and reporting by preparing data sets, dashboards, and summary insights.

• Participate in process improvement initiatives by documenting current processes and suggesting enhancements under guidance.

Essential Skills

• Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a Bachelor's degree program in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, Economics, or a related field.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with particular strength in Excel for data entry, analysis, and reporting.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling data, documentation, and transactions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Basic understanding of supply chain, logistics, or inventory concepts gained through coursework, projects, or prior experience.

• Experience with data analysis tools or ERP systems acquired through academic work, internships, or projects.

• Familiarity with Power BI, SAP, Oracle, or other supply chain software platforms.

• Exposure to inventory and warehouse operations, including basic knowledge of stock control and material flow.

• Exposure to procurement and supplier management processes, including supplier communication and purchase order handling.

• Exposure to logistics and transportation planning, including an understanding of shipment coordination and tracking.

• Exposure to demand planning and forecasting concepts and methods.

• Exposure to supply chain analytics and reporting, including the preparation of dashboards and performance metrics.

• Exposure to process improvement methodologies and a basic understanding of how to document and enhance workflows.

Work Environment

The Supply Chain Associate Intern works within a collaborative Supply Chain and Operations environment that emphasizes learning, cross-functional teamwork, and continuous improvement. You will regularly interact with Operations, Procurement, Logistics, and Finance teams while using tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and may gain exposure to ERP systems and supply chain platforms like Power BI, SAP, or Oracle. The role focuses on office-based tasks such as data analysis, documentation, reporting, and coordination of inventory, purchasing, and logistics activities. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
