Test System Automation Software Engineer II - LabVIEW/TestStand

Position Overview Test System Automation Software Engineer II to work in the Software Automation team to support Manufacturing Operations at the Medtronic Tempe Campus (MTC). Key Responsibilities Serve as technical owner for software automation supporting manufacturing acceptance test and visual inspection stations. Provide expert-level support for production-critical issues. Lead application enhancements, migrations, and modernization efforts driven by user needs, instrumentation and infrastructure changes. Partner with business stakeholders to perform automation application updates, manage technical risk, and coordinate releases. Establish and maintain required SDLC documentation, testing, and release. Required Knowledge and Experience Baccalaureate degree and minimum of 2 years of relevant software engineering experience OR Master’s degree with minimum of 0 years relevant experience. Proficiency in National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand (strongly preferred). Proficiency in automated test equipment integration. Strong knowledge of the full Software Development Life Cycle (requirements, design, testing, release). Experience with multiple modern and legacy Windows Operating Systems. Proven ability to support production systems in a regulated manufacturing environment. Proficiency in equipment configuration management, source control, Digital IO, and automation of test instrumentation. Experience in medical device manufacturing or other regulated industries. Experience modernizing legacy applications. Familiarity with manufacturing traceability systems. For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
