Senior AWS Cloud Data Engineer

Salary: $80,000 - 120,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Information Technology, Information Sciences, Electronics, or a related field; equivalent relevant work experience may be considered.
• At least 3 years of industry experience in data engineering or a related role.
• Demonstrated experience delivering and orchestrating data solutions on AWS.
• Experience integrating with ERP platforms, including SAP or in-house systems, and exchanging data through APIs between manufacturing or supply chain legacy applications and AWS pipelines.
• Experience with metadata management for compliance, audit trails, and compliance reporting.
• Expertise designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based data solutions, with a strong data architecture and engineering background in the supply chain domain.
• Proficiency in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling, ETL and query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Technical skills with Python, PySpark, SQL, AWS Glue, EMR, EC2, Lambda, DMS, S3, Redshift, RDS, Informatica CDGC/CDQ, Git, GitHub, AWS CDK, IAM, encryption policies, CloudWatch, Glue Catalog, and Athena.
• Experience integrating with DB2, UDB, SQL Server, or similar databases.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions that support advanced analytics and business intelligence across our enterprise.
• Develop and implement ETL pipelines using AWS services such as Glue, EMR, DMS, S3, and Redshift.
• Orchestrate workflows with AWS Step Functions, EventBridge, and Lambda.
• Connect CI/CD pipelines with GitHub and AWS CDK to automate deployments.
• Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models for operational and analytical systems.
• Transform and automate data using Python, PySpark, and SQL; optimize queries, normalize datasets, and tune performance.
• Implement IAM roles and encryption policies to protect data.
• Support compliance with governance standards using tools such as Informatica CDGC/CDQ.
• Monitor pipeline performance through CloudWatch and Glue job logs.
• Proactively troubleshoot and resolve data quality and performance issues.
