Overview This position is located at multiple Departments, Eisenhower Army Medical Center located at Fort Gordon, GA. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal Service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. The cost of living is quite reasonable, with quality homes at good prices. Responsibilities Duties Conduct clinical evaluations and consultation and provide recommendations to avert complications. Analyze and interpret routine laboratory results. Educate patients and their family members regarding treatment and medical care. Dispense and prescribe controlled substances in accordance with the scope of practice for Physician Assistants. Develop and establish plans to provide and improve patient health care. Qualifications US Citizenship Required At least one year of experience as a certified physician assistant treating patients performing examinations, prescribing medications, and determining appropriate medical treatment. Graduation from a physician assistant educational program, accredited by the Accreditation Review Committee on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARCPA), or its predecessors, at a college, university, or educational institution that is accredited by an accrediting body or organization recognized by the Secretary, U.S. Department of Education. Successful completion of the National Commission of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) examination; must maintain status as a certified physician assistant, including completion of all requirements for continuing medical education (CME) and re-certification.
