Title: Pharmacy Dispensing and Automation Associate Job Type: Regular Company: Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Pharmacy Time Type: Full time Weekly Hours: 40 FTE: 1 Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Summary In this role, you'll play an important part in helping patients receive the medications they need‑safely, accurately, and on time. You'll oversee the hospital's automated medication dispensing systems, making sure they're well‑stocked, running smoothly, and supporting our clinical teams every day. You'll be a key partner across departments, helping ensure medications are managed efficiently and responsibly. Starting pay: $21.61 per hour What You'll Do Maintain appropriate inventory levels in automated dispensing cabinets across the hospital. Monitor medication supplies and restock items in a timely, cost‑effective way. Oversee the daily operation of automated dispensing systems. Troubleshoot system or inventory issues and help resolve them quickly. Partner with pharmacy staff, nursing teams, and vendors to support smooth workflows. Support accurate tracking, pricing, and accountability of medication inventory. Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce waste. Qualifications Certification Requirement: Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) – required. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalency and one (1) year of full‑time Pharmacy Technician experience in a hospital or healthcare organization with extensive training and experience with an automated dispensing system. Preferred: hospital experience, experience with automation dispensing cabinets, and specifically with Pyxis.
