About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a key player in the monthly close process and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role involves overseeing and reviewing the monthly close process, approving journal entries and account reconciliations, and partnering cross-functionally to gather financial data. The Assistant Controller will also support the annual financial statement audit, advise on accounting implications of business transactions, and drive process improvements while strengthening internal controls. Mentoring and developing a team of accountants, as well as participating in system enhancements, are also key responsibilities. Applicants for the Assistant Controller position at the company should have a minimum of 7 years' of accounting or finance experience, with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. A CPA or CMA is preferred. The role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and internal controls, as well as proven leadership and team development experience. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills are also required. The company values individuals who can drive performance and growth, and who are adept at identifying and implementing process improvements.
