Project Manager

Responsibilities The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:Managing project implementation including schedule, budgets, quality and safety.Resource planning and management - including managing company resources assigned to the project as well as third party vendors, designers, fabricators and contractors.Direct the efforts of the full engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction management, and commissioning team in creating the execution plans, organization, and contracts needed to deliver the project within the stated cost and schedule.Continue to build a positive relationship with highly important & strategic clients who have significant future work in the area.Preparing and issuing Progress Reports and ensuring timely payments.Monitoring compliance with various regulatory statues as well as compliance with applicable Shimmick policies and procedures.Project stakeholder management and interface.Creation and implementation of Project Updates – Job Status Reports and Quarterly EAC Reports.Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.6+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.Previous heavy civil construction experience, managing projects in excess of $30 million.Strong understanding of construction contracts and risk mitigation.Preferred Qualifications:8+ years' experience involving heavy civil construction projects.Water and Waste Water Treatment Plants, Concrete Structures, Electrical, Transit, Underground Utilities.Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite and Primavera P6.Strong problem-solving skills and consistent attention to detail.Ability to manage changing deadlines and work well under pressure for multiple team leaders.Work independently and effectively to prioritize multiple tasks.Highly organized with excellent time management skills.Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skill.Excellent project management skills with ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands in deadline-driven environment.Additional Information:This position is based in Southern California.Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.This position does not include sponsorship for a United States work authorization.The salary range for this position is between $150,000 - $190,000 per year depending on experience and/or education.Shimmick's comprehensive benefits plan includes medical, dental and vision coverage; as well as options to participate in an FSA or HSA.
