Small Parts Quality Control Inspector

We are seeking an experienced Small Parts Inspector to join a manufacturing team responsible for producing highly detailed, precision components. This role is ideal for someone with strong inspection skills who is comfortable working with detailed specifications, engineering drawings, and a variety of precision measuring equipment.

Contract with potential of hire, $28 per hour

Responsibilities

• Inspect in-process parts, purchased components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies
• Perform first-piece inspections and verify parts meet required specifications
• Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions
• Use a wide range of precision measuring and inspection equipment
• Perform detailed visual inspections using microscopes
• Verify manufacturing processes are operating within required parameters
• Identify defects and help determine root causes of rejected parts
• Maintain accurate lot control records and required certifications
• Document inspection results and communicate quality issues to production
• Ensure finished products meet quality requirements prior to shipment

Qualifications

• 2+ years of inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of precision measuring equipment and inspection techniques
• Experience using microscopes for detailed inspection
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and detailed specifications
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to inspect very small, intricate, and highly detailed components
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
• Comfortable working independently and maintaining detailed documentation
