Overview Delivers exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects. Identifies customer needs and provides advice and guidance regarding financial solutions that are in the best interests of customers. Works collaboratively within the branch and through various channels with BMO partners to deliver the desired customer experience and achieve overall business objectives. Responsibilities Identify customer needs and recommend suitable financial products and services. Collaborate with BMO partners to identify referral opportunities and grow customer relationships. Welcome and guide customers through the branch lobby, offering advice on available digital and self‑serve options. Conduct client conversations to recommend alternative banking channels and provide personal banking and investment advice. Meet customer transaction‑based needs with seamless execution. Review customer profiles and engage customers in needs‑based conversations to identify potential opportunities and address everyday banking, credit card, and investment needs. Support operational activities (e.g., inventory management, escalated service requests, follow‑up on customer applications, filing, opening, and closing activities). Integrate marketing promotions and programs into customer conversations to provide strategic advice. Organize work information to ensure accuracy and completeness. Seek creative approaches that make each customer’s experience feel personal and contribute to overall customer experience improvement. Follow risk and compliance processes and policies to safeguard customers’ assets and maintain privacy. Stay current with the wider financial services marketplace, legal and regulatory environment, and the bank’s commitment to uphold the highest ethical standards. Identify and report suspicious patterns of activity potentially related to money laundering. Apply the Risk Management Framework and make sound, risk‑informed decisions aligned with business strategy and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Typically 1–2 years of relevant experience or a related field of study; equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable. Canada only: Registration to sell investment products completed or in progress (must be completed within 12 months), as appropriate for the jurisdiction. Confidence and experience using social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications. Some experience in a consultative customer service or sales role with a drive to deliver a personal customer experience. Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions to refer to specialists. Passionate commitment to helping customers and a focus on results. Self‑starter with courage and confidence to approach customers. Readiness to collaborate and work in different capacities as part of a team. Salary and Compensation Salary: $41,714.00 – $50,500.00 (Salaried). Salaries may vary based on location, skills, experience, education, and other qualifications. For part‑time roles, compensation is prorated based on hours regularly worked.
