Travel Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) – Inpatient

Location: Grand Junction, Colorado
Contract: 12 Weeks
Shift: 3 × 12-Hour Night Shifts | 7:00 PM–7:00 AM | Rotating
⏱️ Hours: 36 hours/week

We're seeking an experienced Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) for a 12-week travel assignment in an inpatient hospice setting. This role focuses on compassionate end-of-life care, symptom management, patient assessment, and supporting patients and their families during challenging times.

✅ Requirements
Active Colorado RN License
Minimum 3 years of Hospice RN experience
Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
Experience with symptom management and end-of-life care
Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care
Strong communication and caregiver education skills
Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary care team

Clinical Experience
Provide intensive nursing care to patients receiving inpatient hospice services
Assess patient conditions and manage end-of-life symptoms
Develop and implement individualized plans of care
Educate patients and caregivers regarding goals of care and symptom management
Provide physical, emotional, and social support to patients and families
Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary hospice professionals
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold patient dignity and comfort

Assignment Highlights
Inpatient hospice care in a home-like setting
Focus on comprehensive end-of-life and symptom-management care
2 on-call shifts per month required
3-day orientation from 8:00 AM–5:00 PM before transitioning to night shifts
Holiday coverage required
