Job Full Description Machinist/Machine Operator Location: South Hutchinson, Kansas POSITION DESCRIPTION
This is a hands-on, full-time position and requires excellent communication with all parties involved. This position will be primarily responsible for the operation of processing cell (as described below). Additional responsibilities include machining of bores and pinholes using manual equipment and methods, operation of other processing support equipment (polishing, bead blasting, etc.) and assistance with shipping processes. Primary operations are located in an air-conditioned facility. General:
Maintain product quality by following processes and specifications
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Learn quickly and follow existing processes, systems and methods
Assist with development and implementation of new programs and systems as needed
Excellent communication and leadership skills Manufacturing & Inventory Control:
Manufacture to ensure quality and accuracy
Operate processing cell which will include the simultaneous set-up and operation of semi-automatic grinding machines
Perform manual machining to add pinholes to blades, increase blade bore diameter, split blades and add keyways as required
Become proficient in operation of all processing equipment including support equipment such as semi-automatic polishing machine and bead blasting equipment
Learn and become proficient at the carbide blade brazing process
Learn and become proficient at the blade tensioning / hammering process
Gain complete understanding of the manufacturing and inventory control processes
Provide guidance to management on inventory status and accuracy
Maintain, clean and service equipment and facility on a regular schedule - document all activities Shipping and Receiving:
Package product as required
Perform Receiving and Shipping tasks and processes as required Expected work schedule 40 to 45 hours per week Expected work hours: Monday - Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Want to Learn More?
