Principal Project Manager

Senior Principal Project Manager (Cloud/Machine Learning)Responsible for the management of large and complex projects and project teams made up of internal, customer, and vendor resources to deliver solutions and services. Interacts closely with the multiple Infrastructure teams and vendors to define the project parameters and to develop detailed project documentation to outline the project to include Business Requirements, Project Plans, and Project Schedule. Translates customer requirements and strategy into specific achievable plans and tasks. Manages assigned project resources, constraints, risks and issues using project management best practices and internal delivery methodology. Assures proper conduct, documentation, and communications of assigned project engagements. Leads in the coaching and mentoring of other project managers on expectations, deliverables and overall project control.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesManages all aspects of large and complex projects throughout the project lifecycle including project scope, schedule, resources, quality, costs and change.Translates project requirements into project objectives and tasks, managing task assignment to project resources and reporting on and managing project scope throughout the lifecycle.Develops detail project schedules, resource plans, status reports and contributes to the effectiveness of a team that integrates multiple functions/disciplines.Conducts project meetings, sets and manages client expectations by making risks visible, escalating issues and changes when appropriate.Interfaces with all areas affected by the project, including end user, services organizations, vendors and implementations partners.Review project deliverables for accuracy and apprises management of issues effecting project status and offers solution to solve the issues.Ensure satisfactory transfer of custody and control of product upon completion (handoff) and close all project documentation and archive appropriate records.Secondary Duties and ResponsibilitiesLeads project team utilizing specific expectations, deliverables and overall project control.Assists supporting standards, processes and procedures necessary to produce the deliverables from the team.Confidently makes presentations to different audiences to include executives and management teams.Assess the impact of new requirements, resourcing, issues and risks on an assigned set of complex projects.Act as liaison between all functional groups.Develop lessons learned documentation.Report Project Status via company defined methods.Position Requirements Functional/Technical SkillsMS Office Tools (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio)Expert understanding of Project and Program Management principlesExpert understanding of project lifecycles.Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments and delegate.Solid understanding of project management methodologies.Technical and Business writing skills producing clear and unambiguous deliverables.Strong analytical skills and ability to understand complex concepts and decompose them into smaller understandable bodies of work.Experience8 to 10+ years of experience in project management, with proven history of successful project management/program management within Information Technology.Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering large complex projects, including project scope, schedule, resources, quality, costs and change.Experienced at resource management and budget management.Have strong communication skills, both written and oral.Able to manage projects of large to complex projects independently.Well-developed leadership skills in a matrix organization structure.Additional Desired Cloud Related Experience and Qualifications:Experience in Developing and Implementing Cloud Strategies; Cloud Architectures, Security and Compliance Frameworks; Implemented Hybrid Cloud/Multi Cloud Environments; Plan and Execute Cloud Migrations; Establish Cloud Governance and Cloud Financial Ops; Audit and Remediate IT Process and Tools (Development and Operational) for Cloud; Establish Cloud Operations; Develop and Establish a Cloud Organizational Change Management Program.Experience in Machine Learning.Hands on experience on Agile practices, Scrum process, Kanban, and waterfall methodology.Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or equivalent work experience is requiredProject Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) is a must.Experience working in Hybrid and Multi Cloud environments.Experience with all major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud).Experience with varied technologies and tools and operating systems, including KAFKA, Cloudera, Tomcat, IBM WebSphere, IBM MQueue, Linux, IBM Mainframe, AIX, Windows environmentsExperience with ISO 27001, PCI DSS, HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST 80-66, FedRAMP, GDPR and SOC II a plus.Knowledge of TOGAF, Orbus EA Tool, MS Office 2000 tool set - MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project and MS Visio.Experience with strategy level consensus building across senior leadership levels.Experience in managing cross enterprise change management initiatives.Experience in leading teams in the development and execution of business and technology transformation.Experience integrating and managing external consulting firms for specific expertiseCandidate must be adaptable and nimble in their approach.Strong customer skills with internal and external customers.Ability to understand technical concepts and work with highly skilled/experienced resourcesAbility to understand and translate cloud concepts for beginners.Must be able to perform assigned tasks with minimum supervision.Healthcare experience or similar environment is strongly encouraged.
