Travel Nursing Job Details Specialty: Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse Location: Morgantown, West Virginia 26506 Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020–$2,130 Assignment Length: 13 weeks Start Date: September 27, 2026 End Date: December 27, 2026 Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday, with day/evening scheduling Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts Hours: 36 hours per week Call Requirement: One 12-hour call period per four-week schedule period; one-hour response time Charting System: EPIC Unit Scope: Phase 1 and Phase 2 post-anesthesia recovery PACU Registered Nurse Job Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in West Virginia At least 1 year of recent PACU, post-anesthesia, critical care, or comparable acute care nursing experience Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications Experience caring for patients during post-anesthesia recovery and identifying changes in patient condition Ability to read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips Comfort with CPAP, BiPAP, and ventilator equipment Willingness to float to designated pre- and post-operative units as needed Ability to participate in rotating winter and summer holiday coverage PACU RN Responsibilities Provide comprehensive Phase 1 and Phase 2 post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery Monitor airway, respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, and pain status throughout patient recovery Care for patients following orthopedic, ENT, ophthalmology, gynecology, urology, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, and podiatry procedures Recognize and promptly respond to post-anesthesia complications and changes in patient condition Manage patients requiring advanced respiratory support, including CPAP, BiPAP, and ventilators Interpret cardiac rhythms and communicate significant findings to the appropriate care team Administer medications and treatments safely while maintaining accurate documentation in EPIC Collaborate with anesthesia, surgical, nursing, respiratory therapy, and perioperative support teams Participate in call coverage, holiday rotation, and approved floating assignments Apply now for this PACU Registered Nurse travel assignment in Morgantown, West Virginia, and join a collaborative perioperative healthcare team.
