Summary of Job Duties:The Clinical Service Managers (CSM) in H6 is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily operations of the designated clinic/unit, including patient care and clinic/unit business processes.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Arkansas

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing

  • Five (5) or more years of clinical experience in field of Nursing

  • Three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity

  • Current BLS certification or must successfully obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Nursing

  • National Certification

Employees in this role must be fitted for, capable of donning and performing routine tasks in personal protective equipment to include N95 masks, Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) or Controlled Air Purifying Respirators (CAPR).

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees daily clinic or unit operations.

  • Ensures patient care processes run efficiently.

  • Manages workflow, scheduling, and staffing needs.

  • Monitors clinic/business operations and resolving operational issues.

  • Hires, onboards, trains, and evaluating employees.

  • Coaching, mentoring, and develops team members.

  • Manages performance and maintaining adequate staffing levels.

  • Ensures safe, high-quality patient care.

  • Implements evidence-based practices and UAMS standards.

  • Monitors patient satisfaction and quality outcomes.

  • Identifies problems affecting patient care and leading improvement efforts.

  • Works closely with physicians, medical directors, and administrative leadership.

  • Serves as a liaison between nurses and providers.

  • Participates in committees and organizational initiatives.

  • Supports strategic planning and policy implementation.

  • Budget oversights and resource management.

  • Ensures compliance with UAMS policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.

  • Supports departmental goals, productivity targets, and service-line objectives.

  • Leads teams ranging from dozens to more than 90 staff members, depending on the service line.

  • Acts as a clinical expert and operational leader.

  • Makes decisions, solve problems, and guide teams through change.

  • Promotes UAMS's mission of improving the health of Arkansans.

  • May perform other duties as assigned.
