Laboratory Team Leader

Position Summary Laboratory Team Leader – Greenville, NC – Monday‑Friday, 8:30am‑5:00pm EST. 100% on‑site. Catalent’s Greenville, N.C. facility specializes in end‑to‑end turnkey solutions for oral solid dosage forms, including integrated formulation development, analytical services, commercial manufacturing, and packaging. Responsibilities Supervise, guide and oversee learning and development needs for a team of approximately three to six scientists and other laboratory personnel at various levels. Develop and manage performance of direct reports, including training, coaching and mentoring. Lead the creation of a climate of quality and safety, identifying and monitoring quality and safety standards. Ensure all work is performed and documented according to approved SOPs, in general compliance with cGMPs, and in a timely manner consistent with agreed schedules. Maintain proficiency in process and data review within the respective scientific field, and troubleshoot instrument, method and technique‑related issues. Manage projects and serve as the analytical representative for internal and external clients (commercial, pre‑commercial and CMOs). Author and review analytical procedures, validation documents and portions of regulatory submissions for site pre‑commercial and commercial projects. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate degree in a science‑related field with nine years of professional experience in pharmaceutical analytical chemistry, ORBachelor’s degree with eight years of professional experience, ORMaster’s degree with six years of experience, ORPhD with four years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical analytical chemistry. Experience in a Catalent analytical laboratory in a role independently managing client interactions and projects, or mentoring and training junior analysts (substitutable for three years of professional experience). Demonstrable leadership experience at Catalent, including participation in programs such as NGGL, GOLD, LEAD Now, GM Excellence, and GROW. Strongly preferred at least one year of project manager and leadership experience. Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
