Description
  • Conduct assessments for patients from all age groups, utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
  • Create customized treatment plans that cater not only to immediate needs but also to longer-term communication and swallowing goals.
  • Engage in individualized speech therapy sessions that focus on enhancing language skills, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing abilities.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and healthcare providers to establish integrated care plans.
  • Provide educational resources for patients and families to encourage continued growth beyond therapy sessions.
  • Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions to ensure comprehensive continuity of care.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation in accordance with all regulatory compliance needs.
  • Commit to lifelong learning through continued education and shared knowledge with peers.
Education
  • Completed a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Fulfilled a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet possessing ASHA certification.
Certifications
  • Hold a valid license as a Speech Language Pathologist in your state.
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) awarded by ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of your start date.
Skills
  • Expertise in evidence-informed treatment methodologies applicable across all age groups, with deep insights into developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills to foster connections with patients, family members, and integrated care teams.
