Contract | Nights (3x12-Hour Shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite | 13–26 Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Neurology unit with a focus on general medicine and neurological diagnoses
• Maintain a 1:6 patient ratio while applying a teamwork-based approach to care delivery
• Utilize Pyxis for medication administration, EPIC for clinical documentation, and SBAR for communication
• Adhere to weekend shift requirements, including approximately every other weekend
• Float to other units within the facility as required, with travelers floating first
• Report to work as assigned during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or declared disasters as part of a Storm or Hurricane Team

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a Compact state license
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Must pass EKG testing prior to assignment start
• Commitment to patient safety and a collaborative, team-oriented approach to care

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIH Stroke Scale certification or demonstrated neurology nursing experience
• Experience in or willingness to learn the charge nurse role
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
