Water/Wastewater Intern Halff is actively seeking an Intern for our Water/Wastewater team in our The Woodlands, TX office. The Civil Engineering Intern will help with drainage and stormwater analysis and design and support Water & Wastewater Utility projects, including pipeline and facility modeling, planning, process, design, and construction. The Intern will help perform water resources design, support projects in water resources planning, hydrology and hydraulic modeling, and other engineering tasks as needed. The Internship will begin on June 7th, 2027, and conclude on August 13th, 2027. Interns are paid hourly and work full-time (40 hours/week), typically 8a-5p Monday through Friday. Halff does not pay for or provide housing for Internships. What You Will Do Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer Help design drainage and stormwater analysis and design Support Water & Wastewater Utility projects including pipeline and facility modeling, planning, process, design, and construction Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for Water Resources projects Perform drafting CAD work Perform calculations and analysis for design projects Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies What You Will Need Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree Experience with HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS is required Great communication skills Solid relationship and team building skills Self-motivated and strong organization skills The Halff Water/Wastewater Advantage We leverage more than 65 years of experience in the water utilities industry to develop creative and sound solutions.
