The ideal candidates will hold OSHA 500 or OSHA 502 certifications and have a proven track record of implementing and managing safety programs on large-scale projects. Pay Range $40-$50 per hour Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific safety plans in compliance with OSHA standards and company policies. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments on active job sites. Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions for field personnel. Investigate incidents, near misses, and ensure corrective actions are documented and implemented. Collaborate with project managers and field supervisors to ensure safety compliance throughout all phases of construction. Maintain accurate safety records and prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies. Qualifications: OSHA 500 or OSHA 502 certification (required). Minimum 5 years of safety experience in heavy civil construction or site preparation. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, and industry best practices. Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence and enforce safety culture. Ability to travel between project sites within the assigned region (Charlotte, Greensboro, Raleigh). Preferred Experience: Previous work in civil infrastructure projects such as grading, excavation, utilities, and site development. Familiarity with DOT and local regulatory requirements.
