Data Science Program Lead II

AbbVie seeks a Data Science Program Lead II to serve as the data management expert for clinical studies. This role owns data collection strategy, oversees quality delivery, manages cross-functional partnerships, and supports timely achievement of study milestones through risk-based monitoring and process optimization.

Responsibilities

• Own data collection, cleaning, and database lock strategies to deliver inspection-ready study data
• Lead risk-based data review strategies from initiation through database lock using centralized monitoring and statistical methodologies
• Triage data quality standards, identify trends, and drive site-level corrective actions
• Perform data mining, custom analytics, and develop operational dashboards to support study decisions
• Influence cross-functional stakeholders and lead process improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, life sciences, or equivalent; Master's preferred
• 6+ years pharmaceutical, clinical research, data management, or healthcare experience
• In-depth understanding of clinical trial processes and clinical technology
• Demonstrated functional leadership and ability to influence without direct authority
• Demonstrated coaching and mentoring capability in matrix environments
• Effective analytical and communication skills
