Position Overview

We are seeking experienced healthcare professionals for a stepdown neuro position in a hospital setting. This role offers a night shift, specifically from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. We are looking for candidates who can commit to a 20-week coverage period, with the option to consider 13 weeks as well.

Job Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of 18 months of combined permanent experience in the relevant specialty is required. This experience may be from multiple locations but must be recent.
• Specialty Requirement: At least 18 months of recent neuro stepdown experience is mandatory. Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or progressive care experience is preferred but not required.
• Licensure: Candidates must hold a valid Ohio license or a compact state license at the time of submission.
• Certifications: Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required.
• Availability: Travelers are expected to work at least every other holiday.

Assessment Requirements

Candidates will need to complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and a safeMedicate assessment during orientation, achieving an acceptable score on both assessments to qualify for the role.

Compliance Requirements

• Background checks will be reviewed, and candidates with an open case will not be considered.
• All healthcare professionals, except for nurses and surgical technologists, must be nicotine-free. A negative 10-panel drug screen, including nicotine, will be required.
• Annual competency requirements must be fulfilled for continuous contracts exceeding one year.
