Assistant Sector Supervisor

Position: Assistant Sector Supervisor
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois General Administrative License
- Appropriate special education license (LBS1 or similar)
- Certification to evaluate licensed staff
- Three or more years experience in field of specialty
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with staff, parents and students
Overview of Position:
The Assistant Supervisor is an eleven-month supervisory position responsible for supporting the Sector Supervisor in overseeing sector programming. Primary duties include leading IEP meetings, supporting instructional improvement, curriculum implementation, and staff development.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate IEP meetings with educational teams.
- Support curriculum implementation, evaluation, and instructional improvement.
- Assist in the development and evaluation of educational programs.
- Promote effective use of technology in teaching and learning.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Support the development and implementation of discipline improvement plans.
- Assist in maintaining data systems to monitor performance objectives and student achievement.
- Observe staff performance, document observations, and conduct evaluation conferences.
- Coordinate and facilitate professional development for staff.
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing, selecting, and orienting new staff.
- Supervise operations in the Supervisor's absence.
- Oversee student attendance reporting and monitoring.
- Coordinate ESY services and other assigned support services.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, State Board of Education regulations, and board policy.
- Ensure adequate student supervision during non-instructional periods.
- Support development of systems that promote positive student behavior.
- Conduct conferences with parents and educational teams regarding student and school matters.
- Participate in ongoing professional growth activities.
- Promote the organization's mission and foster community engagement.
- Maintain regular attendance and perform other duties as assigned.
Salary: $78,000-$99,846 depending on administrative experience
