Our client is multinational media, marketing, and corporate communications holding company. Your region would encompass their Central NAM portfolio leading our IFM team. You will sit at their downtown Chicago office.Location: Chicago, IL 60601Work Schedule: Hybrid 3 days in office, M-F 9 AM-5 PMTravel Requirements: 25% / once a quarterReports to: Account DirectorEstimated compensation for this position is: $123,000 - $150,700 annually + 20% annual salary bonusWhat This Job Involves:This exciting opportunity will be responsible for leading the strategic transformation and operational excellence of a rapidly evolving, multi-tier commercial real estate portfolio across the central region. As our client's portfolio continues to expand and consolidate – encompassing multiple creative communications agencies serving large global clients – you will serve as the strategic leader driving the implementation of our comprehensive target operating model across all tiers of assets.The successful candidate must possess exceptional leadership capabilities to navigate complex organizational change while managing diverse creative workspace environments with varying operational requirements. You will be responsible for establishing standardized operational frameworks that can scale across tier-based portfolios, from flagship creative campuses to specialized agency environments, ensuring consistent excellence regardless of property tier or complexity.This role demands a visionary leader who can execute strategic initiatives across an expanding regional footprint while developing high-performing teams capable of delivering superior results across diverse creative agency environments and market segments.What Your Day-To-Day Will Look Like:Leadership & Strategic Portfolio ManagementLead the strategic implementation of our target operating model across a dynamic, multi-tier regional portfolio of creative advertising agencies, adapting operational frameworks to meet the unique requirements of each asset classificationDrive organizational transformation initiatives that support portfolio expansion and consolidation, ensuring seamless integration of new creative agency properties into existing operational structuresDevelop and execute comprehensive change management strategies that align diverse facility teams across all portfolio tiers with evolving client objectives and the dynamic needs of creative agencies serving global clientsEvolving Portfolio OperationsProactively manage facility services across an expanding and consolidating regional portfolio of creative agencies, implementing scalable processes that accommodate growth and portfolio optimizationImplement tier-specific operational strategies that optimize performance across different creative workspace environments while maintaining consistency in service delivery standardsFinancial Leadership & Strategic PlanningDevelop and manage comprehensive operating and capital budgets across the multi-tier regional portfolioLead strategic cost optimization initiatives that capitalize on regional scale and portfolio consolidation, identifying opportunities for cross-property efficiencies and vendor consolidationExecute financial planning processes that support portfolio evolutionTeam Development & Organizational ExcellenceBuild and lead high-performing, cross-functional teams capable of managing diverse creative agency environments and complex operational requirements across the regional portfolioDevelop comprehensive talent development programs that prepare team members for evolving portfolio needsImplement leadership development initiatives that create succession planning across all levels of the regional organizationFoster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement that drives operational excellence across all portfolio tiersVendor & Contract LeadershipLead complex contract negotiations and vendor selection processes that support portfolio consolidation and operational excellenceImplement performance management systems that ensure consistent service delivery across all portfolio assets regardless of tier or complexityRegional Leadership RequirementsTravel extensively throughout the region to provide hands-on leadership, strategic guidance, and operational oversight across all propertiesServe as the primary regional liaison for complex client relationships, ensuring alignment between portfolio expansion and consolidation with client strategic objectivesRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum 7+ years of facilities management experience as a third party provider, corporate or as a consultant with some multi-site/regional exposureMinimum 7+ years of IFM people management experience with some multi-site/regional exposureExcellent client relationship management skills with experience serving as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholdersKnowledge of commercial real estate, HVAC, electricity, telecommunications, furniture and building energy management systemsSupervise vendor performance during normal and off hours including weekends when necessary across various sitesAccounting and budgeting experience with portfolio-level financial managementStrong organizational and management skills with ability to prioritize across multiple locationsExcellent communication and computer skillsWillingness to travel within the region (up to 50% travel expected)Valid driver's license and reliable transportationPreferred Qualifications:Professional certifications such as FMP (Facility Management Professional), CFM (Certified Facility Manager), or similar credentialsKnowledge of sustainability practices, LEED standards, and energy management programsAdvanced degree (MBA or Master's in Facilities Management) or specialized technical certificationsExperience implementing workplace experience initiatives and change management programs that support evolving work environmentsProven ability to leverage technology and data analytics to drive operational improvements and demonstrate value to clients
