Position: CDL- A Local or OTR Driver (AZ) R2 Contractors is seeking a dependable and experienced CDL- A Driver to support construction operations throughout AZ or OTR. This is a driving position, allowing drivers to be home regularly while playing a key role in transporting heavy equipment and materials to project sites across the region. With occasional OTR trips. What You'll Do Safely transport heavy construction equipment and materials to and from Arizona job sites. Operate a variety of CDL-class vehicles, including lowboy trailers, dump trucks, flatbeds, and other heavy-haul equipment. Assist field crews as needed at project locations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment safety and compliance. Load, secure, and transport equipment in accordance with DOT regulations. Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and transportation requirements. Maintain accurate paperwork, inspection reports, and delivery documentation. Qualifications Valid Class A CDL is required and Medical card. Experience hauling and securing heavy construction equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar material-handling equipment preferred. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with project teams. Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check. Compensation & Benefits $22-$32 per hour , DOE. What types of tractors do we operate? We have 3-4 axle Kenworth T880s and 3 Peterbilt 579s for our sleeper trucks. We run dump trucks, water trucks, a transfer, a tub, and 2 belly dumps. We also run some step deck and lowboy as needed locally. What trailer configurations and equipment do our drivers typically haul? We run step decks and lowboys up to 10 axles.
