Sales Specialist
The Home Depot
Sales Specialists help customers bring their project ideas to life by offering a range of product options, providing samples, and recommending solutions—including installation and related services. They listen to customer needs, address concerns, and highlight promotions and financing options. By understanding local competitors and communicating Home Depot’s advantages, they guide customers through every step, set clear expectations, and ensure a smooth shopping experience. Sales Specialists are expected to meet monthly sales goals and other metrics to drive sales in the store. They also help keep the store clean, organized, and safe, and work as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service while actively monitoring inventory to support a seamless shopping experience. Responsibilities Assist customers with product selections and provide samples. Recommend installation and related services. Highlight current promotions and financing options. Communicate Home Depot’s advantages and stay informed about local competitors. Guide customers through the purchasing process and set clear expectations. Meet monthly sales goals and other performance metrics. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and safety. Monitor inventory and ensure products are in‑stock. Qualifications Strong customer service skills and ability to listen to customer needs. Knowledge of product options, installation services, promotions, and financing. Ability to communicate effectively and provide clear expectations. Experience in meeting sales targets and performance metrics. Team player who helps maintain store standards and inventory.
